Meet Our founder
Shanti Bose, MSW, LCSW-A
Shanti is a mental health practitioner, nonprofit leader, facilitator, and artist whose work weaves contemplative practice, integrative healing, and collective care in service of individual and relational well-being.
​
​Shanti earned her Master’s in Social Work from North Carolina Central University and holds a certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University. She is an associate-level licensed clinical social worker in the state of North Carolina. In 2003, Shanti received her meditation and energy medicine training in Kolkata, India through lineage-based study in Dr. Mikao Usui’s tradition, under the guidance of Reiki Master L. M. Puri.

In the nonprofit sector, Shanti serves as the Director of KidSCope, an early childhood mental health program at Families & Communities Rising Inc., and is the Co-Board Chair of CORE NC, a racial equity and community organizing nonprofit. Shanti is a frequent conference speaker and trainer, supporting early childhood educators, mental health professionals, social workers and nonprofit leaders.

Shanti founded House of Earth in 2017 as an effort to bridge modern systems with contemplative practices and to honor the well-being of each individual as essential to the health and sustainability of our collective society.​​
